I am a right-wing domestic terrorist?

September 1, 2009

According to Obama’s Organizing for America organization I am a ‘Right-Wing Domestic Terrorist who are subverting the American Democratic Process‘.  Really?  The article published today called on Democrats to make two phone calls to their Senators on 9/11.  The post demanded, “Defeat anti-democratic forces of hate who conspire to remain healthy wealthy while the public languishes under the burden of our present health care system.”  Ouch.  I am part of an ‘anti-democratic force of hate’?  Really?  On 9/11 the Democrats are going to call my Senator and suggest that I AM A TERRORIST?!!?!?!  Could they dishonor the memory of those who died nine years ago any more?

I wouldn’t really care, but this is Obama’s website – barackobama.com – he is supposed to be MY president too.  Why would he call me a terrorist?  He won’t refer to terrorists as terrorists anymore – the term is too divisive.  The Heritage Foundation posted a link to to the article today, but shortly after the media began calling the White House for a comment it was removed.  The links above is a Google ‘cache’ of the site.  Below is a screenshot.  We deserve better from our President and our country.

Rory Cooper explains just who Obama and his team are referring to:

Many Americans took off work and sacrificed family time this past August to attend congressional town halls, where they voiced opposition to a government-run overhaul of their personal health care choices. They hand painted signs, grabbed their children and drove to their local church or school gymnasium for valuable lessons in community organizing and democracy. While they lived the Rockwellian version of American discourse, they were called names, labeled as ‘too organized’ or “un-American”, and likened to mobs, Nazis and Fascists. And now President Obama’s team has designated September 11 as the day to liken conservatives to Al Qaeda terrorists.

I am not sure why, but this makes me really angry.  Does it make you angry?

  2. Not surprised in the least. The rhetoric has ratcheted up on both sides, and even the most well-meaning and normally level-headed supporters of the various HCR bills out there are at Defcon 1 right now.

Doesn’t make the statement any less offensive, but I’m definitely not surprised.

  3. Would be fun to turn the tide and send our comments to Obama on that day….. and maybe jam the phones to the Senators as well. Let it be know that we will not be labeled as terrorist simply because we disagree. (thought having a opinion and being able to express it was what America is about!)

  5. Frankly, I’m disappointed. What bothers me is I listened to Democrats I knew personally complain about Bush when he was in office. Now the Democrats have the ability to do everything their way, and they still complain.

I’m tired of the rhetoric, name calling & finger pointing. Do something constructive already.
