Obama to be ousted in bloodless coup? Really?

The media is all a flutter with reports that the military may be planning to oust Obama. John Perry has the lead story titled, “Obama risks a Domestic Military ‘Intervention“. Gore Vidal chimed in suggesting “We’ll have a dictatorship soon in the US“. Okay, this must be just a couple of kooks, right? Lots of folks are actually discussing the possibility including Rick Moran, Logan Murphy, Kathy Kattenburg, Darren Hutchinson, Will Bunch, Alan Colmes, John Marshall, Ed Morrissey, The Washington Monthly and the Times of London. First, good thing I still have my gun (do you have yours?). Second, I think it is offensive to make the charge that our military leaders would consider the possibility of ousting Obama. There are real men standing in those uniforms – men with honor and courage – to suggest they would commit treason is offensive.
So who would take over for Obama? Admiral Michael Mullen is currently the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Mullen graduated high school from Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, CA and attended the United States Naval Academy. He has served our country his entire adult life. Want to make a bet as to whether or not Admiral Mullen will depose Obama? I would take your action that he wouldn’t.
So what about General James Cartwright, he is a marine and a member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – maybe he would be the one to depose Obama. General Cartwright graduated West High School in Illinois and attended the University of Iowa where he studied medicine. Cartwright is a naval aviator and has served in the military his entire adult life. Do you like him better for traitor than Mullen? Are you offended yet – I am sure he is.
So what is all the chatter REALLY about? The real issue is that the Left is trying to scare the American people – to further divide us. Conservatives have ZERO interest in a military dictatorship.

Conservatives are only interested in bombing and killing and invading foreign countries. Conservatives are like the good German people were when the Nazis took over. Now with the almost total collapse of the American and World Financial System because of American Bankers, and the stupid American Government and all the stupid idiots in the regulatory agencies, what are you proud Conservatives doing at this late date? You are all sitting on your asses and waving the flag. You and your kind make me sick!

A Right Wing Site prints a detailed article about how the Military may have to stage a coup because Obama has destroyed democracy and the story is about the left?
WND is a very respected Right Wing site with news and opinions. The least you could do is admit that this opinion came from a Mainstream Right Site and a respected Right Wing Voice.

imagine if a site from the left of similar stature had said this during W’s presidency. can you imagine the reaction from the right? imagine if an organization from the left had compared W to hitler, imagine what the reaction from the right would have been (oh, wait, that did happen…and they were OUTRAGED!). imagine if someone from the left had criticized W on foreign soil, what would reaction from the right have been (see: chicks, dixie and their comment in london and compare it to the entry for palin, sarah’s speech in hong kong).
why can’t republicans accept the results of a legitimate election (see bush v. gore for an example of an election with dubious legitimacy)? sure, i did not like bush nor a single one of his policies but i never cried holy hell in the streets that he was a nazi because he wanted to increase senior’s drug coverage in medicare part D. lest we forget, he was actually the one that spied on american citizens without a warrant (the first step towards establishing a fascist police state), tortured people (you know, an actual policy of the nazi party, as opposed to say, health care), and launched wars for nationalistic purposes (see: iraq, invasion of).
and remember when republicans thought ANY criticism of the president in a time of war was tantamount to treason? how fast things have changed since we are still in (perpetual) war, but republicans don’t think they should allow their children hear the president speak about the importance of staying in school? oh, and isn’t it convenient that for 8 years under W republicans didn’t care about deficits, yet the moment obama takes office and has to take drastic measures to clean up the economic mess that was created under W that all of a sudden deficits matter. and government spending? did bush ever see a spending bill he didn’t like? did he ever veto a single republican spending bill? i am only a liberal, so according to most conservatives i am only half-human, so maybe my memory isn’t so good these days.
when will the adults in the republican party stand up and say that they have had enough of this infantile and irresponsible talk?

It’s not that conservatives have no interest in a military dictatorship; I would expect that some (not many) would. It’s that the fire & flames are coming from the Leftosphere, not from us.
The reason for that’s simple: The man’s a failure, a useless nonentity, a 10-year-old who’s been given a loaded .45 and turned out in the front yard, and that’s beginning to dawn on all but the dimmest Democrats and Leftoids. What to do about it? — impeachment’s out, too much like admission of failure which no politician will do, we don’t have Constitutional provisions for any other form of recall (Hello Honduras!), and if anybody doesn’t shudder at the phrase “President Biden” I haven’t encountered them. If he keeps it up, Democrats will be toast in 2010 and 2012.
Martyrdom works; it converted JFK from a hapless bumbler to an icon of the Democratic Party and got LBJ elected, which wouldn’t have happened, ever, without it. So that’s what the Democratic Party is pining for, and why this sort of thing causes brown stains in the small clothes for Leftoid pundits.
Ain’t gonna happen, guys. Take out your own trash.

Folks, I thought it was Newsmax not WND that ran with this piece (or did WND pick it up too?). Either way though, it was a right wing venue not “the Left” trying to scare us, at least in the first instance. Why anyone would believe the military would be up for such an un-American, treasonous plot is beyond me, but maybe some Newsmax readers fell for it.

The difference between Soetoro and other occupants of the white house is that he has spent millions of dollars, including US Justice Department lawyers, to defend his attempt to keep any evidence relating to his constitutional eligibility hidden from the American people.
What does he have to hide?
