Newt Gingrich said he would run for president in 2012 if there is support for his candidacy.  Win or lose, his candidacy would do wonders for our party.  [via] [video]

  2. He’s not going to actually run. We already know about his infidelity. What other secrets would come up on the campaign trail? He’s veep material at best.

  3. Is anyone surprised by this? Newt has been posturing himself since the end of the last election.

    By comparison, Ron Paul has a stronger, cleaner philosophy as well as a more popular following. The Republican Party will be better served by an idealist, rather than a big-tent appeaser. We ran a soggy old moderate in the last contest without much success.
